Two years.

It's been two years since I've been here.

Wow.


Anyway, stuff has happened since November 2008. Let's go chronologically. In September 2009, it was last semester at UMPI. I got to see a WWE house show at the Bangor Auditorium, my first wrestling show since I saw Hacksaw Jim Duggan get DQ'd in a match in Bangor when I was a younger slimoracle. One week later, I got into a car accident. I was and still am fine, but my car was not fixable. I got used to walking six miles roundtrip to go to Wal-Mart. I graduated with my BA in International Studies, history concentration, last May When 2010 rolled around, I spent six months working at the McDonald's in Houlton and also got to substitute teach on my mother's birthday at Houlton Elementary. I bought a 360 and a new Toshiba laptop after my old Dell laptop stopped working. The Toshiba has 8x the hard drive space of the Dell and is so much faster.


So what am I doing today besides making my (possible) return to dA?

I'm back at UMPI. I'm working on getting my teacher's certification in Elementary Social Studies. I have a different kaa now, a 95 Toyota Camry, that is so awesome it makes the Escort look like a horse and buggy. I'm living off campus at Skyway in what can only be described as "an apartment and a hotel room" rolled into one. Kitchen. Bathroom. No roommate other than the awesome guy I have to share the kitchen and bathroom with.

Deviations (are they still called this?)-wise, DV and most of the Ruby Red Sakkat hasn't really been updated in a while. I think its been 3(?) years since I've submitted a chapter of DV. I have another chapter written, but I don't know if I want to post it. I know I've said this in the past, but I'm seriously thinking of rebooting the story and starting over. I've hit a  dead end and Slim Oracle, the character, is/was starting to turn into a male Mary Sue. Slim Oracle, the persona, is kind of...I don't know...
Outside of the RRS stuff, I do have some other writings I could submit. I wrote a paper for my honors seminar class about the Ukrainian Holodomor genocide, a paper on Thomas Hobbes' Leviathan and its influence on the field of political science, and several stream-of-consciousness mind-fuck writings. In the future, I will probably submit the story I'm writing for Children's Lit that'll be "published" in November.
